Mildred E Cordick

Plattsburgh Mildred E. Cordick, 87, formerly of D'Youville Apartments and most recently of the Vilas Home, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on June 7, 1921 the daughter of Joseph and Eva M. (Rabideau) Myette. Mildred was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School. She worked in food service at Plattsburgh State University College for 23 years and later as a land lady at D'Youville Academy Apartments for 10 years. Mildred married Martin Cordick at St. John's Church on May 10, 1943. She was a member of St. Peter's Church. Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Eva Myette; her husband Martin Cordick; their son, William H. Cordick; her sister Olive Gauthier; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Gauthier and John LaRue. She is survived by one sister, Gertrude LaRue of Palm Bay, Florida; a daughter-in-law Diane Cordick and a grandson Jason of Phoenix, Arizona; a niece Sandra Brown of Palm Bay, Florida; a nephew James LaRue of Saugerties, New York; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William G. Reamer, Chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Millie loved the Vilas Home. The staff and residents were always kind and loving, (just like family) to Millie.
