Mildred O Rothe

Plattsburgh Mildred Rothe, 90, of Kellogg Court, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born March 13, 1922 in Neshkoro, Marquette County, Wisconsin the daughter of Richard and Emma (Gehlhar) Fausch. She moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin at the age of six, attended public schools, graduating in 1940 and various accounting classes. Mildred married Jerome Rothe, June 22, 1946 at United Lutheran Church Sheboygan, Wisconsin by the Rev. George McCreary. She retired from the Rueping Leather Company after 22 years of service. Mildred was an avid bowler and Volunteered at the Lutheran Home, Galloway House, Mobil Meals. She was a member of Sunrisers Kiwanis and AARP, Church of Our Savior, moving to Plattsburgh, NY in 2003 to be with family. She then continued being a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens Council and Computer Club. Mildred loved dogs and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors, son James A. Rothe and his wife Kathaleen Miller, granddaughter Kari Wood and her husband Rev. Wade Wood, great grandchildren Matthew James and Morgan Elizabeth Wood, sister-in-law Marianne Rothe (Arthur) and Jean Wagner (Dan), nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerome Rothe, April 29, 2000, sister Marvel Rieder, (Roland) brothers-in-law Donald Rothe, Arthur Rothe, and sister-in-law Lorraine Nytes, her parents and her mother and father-in-law. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Britt Vickstrom of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer officiating. Interment will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park and Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac Wisconsin.
