Minnie M Bushey

Altona Mrs. Minnie M. Bushey, 97, a life time resident of Altona, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her son and daughter at her side. Minnie was born in Altona on October 7, 1910, daughter of the late Arthur and Delia Guerin. Minnie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She possessed a special inner strength, strong faith in God and a lasting love of her family. Minnie is survived by her daughter, Janice Thayer of Altona, her son, Homer Bushey and his wife, Mary of Champlain. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Jackie (Thayer) Hostler and her husband, Rob of Carson, Nevada, Karen (Thayer) Barcomb and husband, Ken of Altona, Kenny Thayer and wife, Leslie of Morrisonville, Amy Bushey Sanderson and husband, Rob of Norwalk, Connecticut, Michael Bushey and wife, Terri of Ellijay, Georgia, David Bushey of Chatsworth, Georgia and Sarah Bushey Chain and husband, Andy of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, nine great grandchildren, Justine, Chelsea, Easton, Douglas, Octavia, Michael, Jake, R.J. and Jackson. Minnie was pre-deceased by her husband, Homer Bushey and her six siblings, Exina, Emma, Ben, Clara, Arthur and Edith. Calling hours will be Friday, April 18, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM from Holy Angel's Church in Altona. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
