Nancy Defayette

Nancy Ann Defayette, 65, of Peru passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 with her family by her side.
Nancy was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 20, 1956 the daughter of Isadore and Katherine (Cook) Defayette.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Leo and Kevin Defayette and brother-in-law, Gary Perry.
She is survived by her brothers Ken (Vicki) Defayette of Peru, Keith (Judy) Defayette of Plattsburgh and sister Beverly Perry of Plattsburgh.
She is also survived by a nephew, Todd (Lauren) Defayette and nieces, Patty (Kevin) Agnew, Tara (Matt) Lagner, Kari (Bill) Prevo, Kristen (Sean) Lukas and Nikki (Greg) Brooker.
Nancy was a very caring person. She loved spending time with her siblings and their families, especially for birthdays and holidays. Nancy also enjoyed her PATH family, housemates and many caregivers. Nancy loved her jewelry, bubble baths and her favorite rocking chair.
Nancy’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire management and staff of the Advocacy & Resources Center for their loving care and support of Nancy over the years. They would also like to give special thanks to the team at The Peru House for all the loving and compassionate care that they showed Nancy in her final months. Also, Becky, Heather and Katie from Hospice for their care and support
Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, Peru, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church.
Interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in her memory to the Advocacy & Resource Center, 231 New York Road, Plattsburgh, NY, 12903 or Hospice of the North Country, 358 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY.
