Nancy K Garrant

Nancy K. Garrant, 65, of Irish Settlement Road, Plattsburgh, NY, entered into eternal peacefully on Sunday February 26, 2017 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on April 22, 1951 the daughter of the late Leo and Lillian (Dickson) LaRocque. Nancy was predeceased by her brothers Leslie LaRocque and Gerald LaRocque. She was the beloved wife of David A. Garrant, Sr., with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother and a proud grandmother and will always be remembered as the heart of her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters; Cyndie Pfohler and husband Robert of Morrisonville, NY, Betsey Tisdel and her husband Ken of Richmond, TX; sons, David H. Garrant, Jr. of St. Albans, VT, Jesse Garrant and his wife Brenda of Amherst, NY, Michael Garrant and his wife Claire of Haymarket, VA, Leo Garrant of Plattsburgh and Shawn Garrant of Plattsburgh, along with twelve beautiful granddaughters and four grandsons. She is also survived by her brother Gary LaRocque and his wife Linda of Cape Coral, FL, a sister Beverly Strack and her significant other Francis Lawrence of Plattsburgh, NY, along with several nieces and nephews Nancy enjoyed singing in the choir at Our lady of Victory Church, was an eternal member of the Sacred Heart 3rd Order of the Franciscans, a Eucharistic Minister, enjoyed working the election polls and was a board member of the North Country Independent Living for many years. She taught religion for an after school program and was a true role model for her grand kids, family and all those she encountered in life. Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 2, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh.
