Nancy E Gerace

Nancy E. Gerace, 81, of Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 27th, 2020. She was born in Plattsburgh on July 16th, 1938, the daughter of George and Gladys (Allard) Langlois.
Nancy earned her diploma from Dance Educators of America, in New York City. She also studied at the Arthur Murray School of Dance in Montreal, QC, Canada. Nancy established Nancy Langlois School of Dance and dedicated 63 years of her life to dance instruction. “Miss Nancy” touched the lives of thousands in our area, sharing her love of dance.
Nancy was a kind, gentle and compassionate woman her always put the needs of others ahead of herself. She loved spending time with her loving husband, children, grandchildren and siblings. Nancy loved being outside and tending to her garden.
Nancy was predeceased by her father George Langois, mother Gladys Langlois, and brother George Langlois Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years James Gerace, her son James (Julia) Gerace, her daughter Susan Gerace Mossey and her fiancé Chad Owen, four grandchildren Justine, Kyra, Cassandra and Hunter, and a very large extended family.
Due to the pandemic crisis, visitation and services will be private for family. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
