Nancy L Lavigne

Nancy L. Lavigne, 74, of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on April 16, 1948, the daughter of Robert and Marjorie (Coolidge) St. Louis.

Nancy was an avid creator of many crafts and treasures that are celebrated to this day in homes throughout the North Country. From her life size Santa Clauses to her decorated sleighs, her creative eye blossomed many pieces that were mainstays in area thrift, antique, and variety malls. In addition to her crafts, she spent much of her time at area thrift stores, yard sales, and auction houses. As many that know her will understand, Nancy loved and appreciated funky keepsakes that she swore would be used in a future craft project. However, above all else Nancy’s most precious keepsakes were memories and interactions with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by her two sons, Erik Lavigne and partner Susan Croteau of Fruitland Park Florida, Robert Lavigne and wife Jennifer of Plattsburgh. Her four Grandchildren, Ryan Lavigne, Zachary Lavigne and wife Elizabeth, Rebekah (Lavigne) LaMoy and husband Keith, and Nicholas Lavigne all of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Connor, Evelyn, Parker, Harper, Gabriel, and Eleanor. A sister Jan Delorme and husband Steve.

Predeceased by her parents Robert and Marjorie St Louis, and brother Robert “Bobby” St Louis.

Burial and celebration of life will be later in the Spring in God’s Acre Cemetery.
