Nancy Baldwin Prescott died on Sunday, June 22, 2014. She was 87. Nancy was born in Hamilton, Ontario, the younger daughter of David Kilvert Baldwin and Patricia Peck Baldwin. Her family moved to Montreal when she was a young girl. She attended The Study, and King's Hall, Compton, P.Q. Her older sister, the late Diana Baldwin Neale (Arthur Neale), and Nancy were close. They spoke daily working on the NY Times crossword puzzle. Undoubtedly the highlight of Nancy's life was during the time they both lived in Keeseville, New York. Nancy met her husband the late Roger B. Prescott, Jr. at the St. Andrew's Ball in Montreal, Quebec. She married Roger in 1953, moved to Keeseville, NY where they lived for 41 years. She and Roger loved the outdoors, played endless golf and spent many memorable trips fly fishing and hunting in Quebec. Although Nancy proudly became an American Citizen in 1967, she never lost her love of all things Canadian. Nancy served as a Director of Resort Enterprises (Polar Caves Park) Rumney, NH, The AuSable Chasm Company, The Keeseville Free Library and the Friends of Keeseville. Nancy is predeceased by her husband Roger B. Prescott, Jr, her son Roger B. Prescott III, her sister Diana Baldwin Neale and brothers in law Arthur Neale and William Prescott, her sister in law Joan Marble Prescott and her nephews David Arthur Neale and Stephen Haaren Prescott. She is survived by her daughter Diana Prescott Zais, son in law Greg Zais, grandchildren Samuel Prescott Zais and Daniel Kilvert Zais, nieces Susan Prescott Buck (Robert L Buck, Jr.) and Avalon Neale, nephews John Neale (Jane Hess), Drew Alan Prescott (Karen Walczyk ), William Dean Prescott (Pam Varley) grandnieces Anne Buck, Abigail Buck, Catherine Buck, Stacia Neale, Barbara Prescott, Shannon and Ashley Prescott, grandnephews David Timothy Neale (Tracey Methven), Samuel Baldwin Neale, Drew Prescott, Jr. and Luke Prescott, her cousins Peter Prescott (Coleen Prescott), Kelly Frady (Dean Frady) , Prescott Doyle, Romeyn Prescott (Amanda Prescott), Brady and Kyle Prescott, great nephew Timothy Baldwin Methven Neale. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Church of the Good Shepard, 16 Williams Street, Elizabethtown. A gift in her honor in lieu of flowers may be made to the Church of the Good Shepard P.O. Box 146, 16 Williams Street, Elizabethtown, NY 12932 or to the Salvation Army.
