Mrs. Nora N. Ratta, 88, of Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by her side. She was born in Schuyler Falls on January 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Ida and Frank Gumlaw.
Nora worked for 38 years at Pactiv Corp. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1466 Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed senior bingo, playing cards and doing puzzles.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Gerald Ratta, her parents, her son Jerry Ratta, a granddaughter Jamie Ratta and many sisters and brothers.
Nora is survived by her daughter Sandy Bousquet and her husband John of Beekmantown, granddaughter Mindy Burdo and her husband Terry of Plattsburgh, granddaughter Beth Baker and her husband Matt of Plattsburgh, special great grandchildren Tyler Bousquet and Meegan Burdo, daughter in law Laura Gamache and her husband Clifton of Sciota, her brother Francis Gumlaw and wife Irene of Saranac, her extended family the Steven's kids, a special friend Janetta Rose, and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held privately for the family at St. Louis de France Cemetery in Sciota. The family wishes to thank the staff in the SNF at CVPH for the excellent care given to Nora.
