Novka Starovic Bartula

With faith in paradise and hope for heavenly reunion, it is with immense sadness that we announce to relatives and friends that our noble mother and grandmother Novka Bartula (nee Starović) passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 91.
A last memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022. at Browns Funeral Home, Plattsburg NY, at 1 p.m.
Grateful for all the love and kindness she selflessly bestowed, we are proud that we could find shelter in her broad soul, as she was an inspiration for all through her inexhaustible knowledge, wisdom and strength, despite her many lifetime challenges. She was always cheerful of mind and spirit, with an immeasurable love in her heart. We now say goodbye to our mother COURAGE. Her mourners are her daughter Natasha, son Boris, son-in-law Frederic, granddaughter Lara, grandson Sacha, sisters Bojana, Rada, Anđa and Mira, sister-in-law Janja with children and their families. Grieving families are Bartula, Hebert, Starović, Kandić, Mandić, Govedarica, Popadić, Burović, Gudelj, and many other relatives, friends and her students, whom she lovingly brought onto the path of life.
"I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." (Jn 11:25)

Rest in the peace of God our dearest mother and grandmother! Your smiling pupils continue to blaze in our souls.

S vjerom u nebeski raj i nadom u ponovno zajedništvo, s neizmjernom tugom javljamo rodbini i prijateljima da je dana 3.02.2022. godine u 91. godini života, u Americi preminula naša plemenita majka i baka Novka (rođ. Starović) Bartula.
Sveta služba i posljedni pomen održat će se u subotu, 12.02.2022. u pogrebnoj kući Browns, u Platsburgu u 1h.
Zahvalni za svu ljubav i dobrotu koju je nesebično darivala, ponosni što smo imali okrilje u njenoj širokoj duši, inspiraciju u njenom neiscrpnom znanju, mudrosti i snazi njenog, uprkos brojnim životnim nedaćama, uvijek vedrog uma i duha, s neizmjernom ljubavlju u srcu opraštaju se od majke koja se HRABROST zvala njeni ožalošćeni: kćerka Nataša, sin Boris, zet Frederic, unuka Lara, unuk Sacha, sestre Bojana, Rada, Anđa, i Mira s porodicama, zaova Janja s djecom i njihovim porodicama, te familije Bartula, Hebert, Starović, Kandić, Mandić, Govedarica, Popadić, Burović, Gudelj kao i ostala mnogobrojna rodbina, prijatelji i njeni učenici koje je s ljubavlju izvodila na životni put.
“Ja sam uskrsnuće i život, ko u mene vjeruje, ako i umre, živjet će.” (Iv. 11,25)
Počivala u miru Božjem naša najdraža majko i bako! Tvoje nasmijane zjenice nastavljaju da plamte u našim dušama.
