Ola Jennette Jabaut

Ola J. Jabaut, 95, of formerly Pine Harbour, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility. She was born in Plattsburgh on February 13, 1927, daughter of the late Oscar G. and Alice (Tebo) Hawley.
Ola was a graduate of St. Francis de Sailles in Utica. While in high school she was a drum majorette. She moved back to Plattsburgh where she was employed by H.A. Marshalls, Dr. Bradley and lastly SUNY Plattsburgh, where she retired from in 1988. Ola was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh where she served on the Parish Council and was a past president. Ola was extremely gifted with a sewing machine, making many toys, holiday decorations, articles of clothing and quilts. Ola and her husband, Norman resided at 29 Broad Street for many years where Norman owned and operated Brown Funeral Home. She was predeceased by her husband Norman F. Jabaut on November 18, 2010.
Ola is survived by her six children, Linda Arvay and her husband Jeffrey Druck of San Diego, California, Stephen Jabaut and his wife, Mona of Schroon Lake, Martin Jabaut and his wife, Jeanne of Saranac, Jeffrey Jabaut and his wife, Debra of Plattsburgh, Juliette Denny and her husband, Jon of Beekmantown, Matthew Jabaut of Plattsburgh, 20 grandchildren 30 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 2-4 at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
