Olga E Lapierre

Plattsburgh Olga E. LaPierre, 86, of Johnson Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 from CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born in Ellenburg Center, NY on January 15, 1924, the daughter of James and Emma (LaBarge) Boyea. Olga graduated from Altona High School and soon moved to Plattsburgh to begin working at Champlain Valley Hospital as an X-Ray Lab Technician. Many years later she began working at Monty Street School as a Teacher's Assistant. Olga enjoyed playing cards and vacationing in Maine. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph LaPierre who passed away in 1987. Olga is survived by her daughter Susan LaPierre of Plattsburgh, NY and her fiancé Glen Orr of Hemmingford, PQ, and a son Tom LaPierre and his wife Mary of Holiday, FL, a grandson Brian LaPierre of Watertown, NY, her neighbor Bill Crotty who was like a son to her, two brothers; Curtis Boyea and his wife Rebecca of Altona, NY and Douglas Boyea and his wife Mary also of Altona, NY, two sisters; Doris Barcomb of Altona, NY and Pearl Lashway and her husband Leonard of Ellenburg Depot, NY, a brother-in-law Carl LaPierre of Chazy, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Monday October 18, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh; burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
