Olin J. Fountain, 84, of Irish Settlement Road, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the UVHN-CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 22, 1933 the son of the George and Viola (Fountain) Soucy. Olin drove truck for Anchor Motor Freight for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Treadwells Mills Council 7248 where he served as Grand Knight for many years. Olin was a member of St. Alexander's Church. He enjoyed body building, crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children; John Fountain, Sr., Diane Varin, Mary Fountain, Les Fountain, Laurie (Daniel) DeVito, Jody Pardy, and Michelle (David) Ross, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Shirley Fountain, his siblings; Marie McFadden, Frances Barnes and Joseph Soucy. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, NY. Interment will be at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to St. Alexander's Church. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 7248 are asked to meet Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home for services.
