Otto J. Gonyea Jr.

Otto J. Gonyea Jr., 70, of Plattsburgh, died Friday, September 6, 2024 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born July 28, 1954 , the son of Otto Sr. and Agnes (Sawyer) Gonyea. He enjoyed being outside, camping and going on his snowmobile or riding in his Jeep. He worked at CVPH in several departments; retiring as an engineer after 35 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Bobby Jo Gonyea and her husband Jim, his sister Carol Flemming and her husband Bill, Joyce Rich and her husband Joe, and his brother Vernard Gonyea and his wife Lydia; his 12 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Pamela, his son Shawn Patnode, his brothers Gerald, James, Donald, Ronald, and his sister Jane and his companion of 20 years, Margie Benchsky. Per Otto's wishes, a celebration of life will at the Peru Rod and Gun Club at a time to be announced. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
