Patricia C. Darrah

PLATTSBURGH – Patricia “Patti” Clare Darrah, 69 of Plattsburgh, New York passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Thursday February 13th, 2025 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH. She was born in Newburgh, New York on December 11, 1955. The daughter of the late Clarence Robert Darrah and Georgette Mae (Tyson) Darrah. Patti grew up in Cadyville, NY. Graduating from Saranac Central School. She pursued a degree in Nursing from Clinton Community College. Retiring from the UVM Health Network, CVPH in 2020 after 25 years. Patti always took pride in her flowerbeds and gardening, spoiling her grandchildren and taking trips to Wells Beach in Maine, multiple times a year. She was an avid collector of rocks, stones, shells & sea glass. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat Layla and grand-fur-babies Shemya & Dahli. Left to cherish the memory of Patti are two brothers; Robert and his wife Lynn (Roby) Darrah of Cadyville, and brother William “Billy” Darrah and his fiancé Lorraine Emond of Plattsburgh. Her step siblings; Donald O’Connell and Tara O’Connell both of Corpus Christi, Texas and Kim O’Connell Provost and Sean O’Connell of Cadyville. Her son, Jordon Darrah and his wife Chelsey Darrah of Peru and her son Matthew Dunsmore of Plattsburgh. Her grandchildren; Colton Darrah, Kennedy Darrah, Ryder Passino and Jackson Kasprzak. Neices and Nephews; Heather and her husband Jay Stranahan of Cadyville, Shana and her husband Jason Riel of West Chazy and Brandon Darrah also of Cadyville. Natasha Darrah, Andrew and his wife Chelsea Reiblein of Greenfield, Indiana and Shanna and her husband Seth Bombard of Saranac. As well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her parents; Clarence “Bob” Robert & Georgette (Tyson) Darrah, Stepmother Eileen (Shanley O’Connell) Darrah, brother Brian Darrah and nephew Jared Provost. Along with her two cats, Sabine & Griffen. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 at West Plattsburgh American Legion Post 1619, 219 Rand Hill Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patti’s name to Elmore SPCA, PO Box 686, Peru NY 12972.
