Patricia V Girard

Patricia "Pat" V. Girard, 91 passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2022, into the arms of the Lord at her daughter's house in Deland, FL. She was surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Halifax Health Hospice of Port Orange, FL.

She was born in Plattsburgh, January 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Arthur and Victoria (LaBounty) LaJoy, Sr.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Victoria LaJoy, Sr., her husband, Gerald Girard, her son, Wayne Girard, her son-n-law Grayam, and daughter-n-law Melody.

Pat is survived by her two brothers, Arthur LaJoy, Jr of Plattsburgh, and Robert LaJoy and his wife Louise of Plattsburgh, a sister-n-law, Carol Brown of Plattsburgh, sister-n-law Lynda and her husband John Kaner of AK, brother-n-law Carl and his wife Dianne Girard of Plattsburgh, two sons, Gary Girard and his wife Teresa of DeLeon Springs, FL, James Girard of Plattsburgh, and daughter Cindy Pender and her husband Roy (Skip) of Deland, FL and her late son, Wayne's companion of 30+ years, Helen Wood, three grandsons, Kevin Scheel, Justin Scheel and his wife Diamond, Zac Girard and granddaughter, Katie Miller and her husband Billy, three great grandchildren, Riken, Mealey, and Elliot, and several nieces and nephews.

Her favorite hobbies that she enjoyed: she loved doing acrobatics as a child, which she was really excellent at doing, which was a big accomplishment. she was an avid reader, she loved to crochet, knit, play bingo, go to the casino, play cards, and go for car rides, and she was a big time Soap Opera Fan, she also loved going out to dinners, and having barbecues with family; she also enjoyed the ladies group "Just For Fun"; but she mostly enjoyed family time with her children, and especially spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and spending times with her two brothers Arthur, and Robert and his wife Louise. She enjoyed living in Florida for the past 19 years during the winter months to spend time with her daughter, Cindy and son, Gary and their families. And during the summer months, she enjoyed spending time with her son Jimmy, here in Plattsburgh.

Pat was loved, respected, and admired by all who knew her. We are filled with infinite love and gratitude for having her in our lives. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched and changed forever.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 9 Broad St, in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Cancer Research.
