After nearly five brave years fighting cancer, it is with extreme sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Patricia A. Morrissey, 63, of Plattsburgh, NY.
Patricia was a truly amazing and influential mother, friend, and sister. She embraced life in every way possible – by retiring after 21 years of service as a Master Sargent in the Air Force, being a hero for her daughter, and helping everyone she met understand the importance of patience, laughter, and love.
She was an avid animal lover, reader, and traveler. Patricia recently returned from the Cayman Islands and was planning her next mother-daughter getaway. She truly appreciated life and left an impression on everyone she met.
Her joy and incredible attitude continue through her loving daughter Cassandra, her cat O, and her siblings Elisabeth Morrissey, Stephen Morrissey, Virginia Morrissey, Theresa Guinto, Margaret Boyd, Susan Morrissey, Michael Morrissey, Timothy Morrissey, Judith Ha, and Christopher Morrissey and many nieces and nephews.
Waiting for Patricia will be her mother and father, Julia and John Morrissey, sister Kathryn Morrissey, and her cat Napoleon.
There will be no public calling hours. Burial will be at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Elmore SPCA.
Patricia, we love you more than you will ever know and will see you again.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Online condolences may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com.
