Patricia A "Patti" Verkey

Patricia A. “Patti” Verkey, 69, of Plattsburgh passed away Tuesday August 23, 2022 at Elderwood of Uihlein in Lake Placid. She was born at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on July 31, 1953 the daughter of Charles L. and Elaine J. (Boissy) Jock.
Patti graduated from St. John’s Academy and Clinton Community College. She was an administrative Assistant at St. John’s Academy and Seton Catholic Elementary. She enjoyed shopping, downhill skiing, traveling, tap dancing, and sun bathing. Patti was a member of St. John’s Church and the Altar Rosary Society of St. John’s. She served on the parish council on the Art and Environment committee. Patti was an Associate with the Sisters of Mercy. She was also a notary of the public. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family; especially, her four granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her parents Chuck and Elaine Jock.
Patti is survived by her husband of 48 years Donald Verkey, a son Christopher (Megan) Verkey, a daughter Samantha (Adam) Trudeau, a sister Debra (Jeffrey) Jabaut, her granddaughters; Brielle, Ayla, Lexi and Braylin, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00 a. m. at St. John’s Church.
Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Seton Catholic Central School.
