Morrisonville- Mr. Patrick J. Maynard, 48, of Route 3 in Morrisonville, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at his home. He was born in Burlington, Vermont on December 14, 1961, the son of Henry Philip and Nancy (Noble) Maynard. Patrick was a graduate of St. John's Academy in Plattsburgh where he excelled in football and track. He married Rose Rascoe on July 28, 1984. Patrick was employed as a Corrections Officer at Clinton Correctional Facility for over twenty five years. He enjoyed golfing, square dancing where he was a member of the North Country Squares, camping, car racing, he was a certified SCUBA diver and was an active follower of his two daughters athletics and academics at St. John's Academy and Seton Catholic. Patrick was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Patrick is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Maynard of Plattsburgh, Andrea Maynard of Morrisonville, his mother, Nancy A. (Noble) Maynard of Point au Roche Road, six siblings, Henry Philip Maynard, Jr. and Lou Ann Nielson of Dannemora, Paul Joseph Maynard and his partner, John Gustafson of Riverside, California, Peter John Maynard and his wife, Penny of Dannemora, Paula-Maynard-Nephew and her husband Richard of Peru, Perry James Maynard of Las Vegas, Nevada, several nieces, nephews and two beloved dogs, Sleepy and Lilly. His wife Rose and his father, H. Philip Maynard recently passed away. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM from St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY, 561-3980.
