Peter G. Belair

MORRISONVILLE - Peter G. Belair, 78 of Morrisonville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Peter was born in Plattsburgh on January 24, 1946 to Lucien and Rose (Gamache) Belair. Peter is survived by his dedicated wife of 52 years, Teresa (Fortin) Belair; his children, Frederick and (Amy) Belair, Margaret (Peggy) Belair, and (Angelo Tarallo); grandchildren, Katelynn, Nicholas and Benjamin; sister, Julia and (Roy) Girdich; brothers, Paul Belair and Donald Belair; sister-in-law, Geraldine Belair and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Peter is predeceased by both parents, Lucien and Rose Belair; brother, William (Bill) Belair and sister-in-law, Henrietta Belair. Peter worked for and retired from Georgia Pacific after 36 years of dedicated service. He has since enjoyed 16 retired years of golfing with his brothers, taking day trips to the casino, vacationing in Arizona and dining and spending quality time with his family. He instilled core values that will last a lifetime. He cherished his family and had a special love for his grandchildren that very few witnessed. Peter had a tough exterior, bright smile and heart of gold. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the St. Alexander's Church hall, located at 1 Church St. Morrisonville, NY.
