Phyllis A Duquette

Phyllis A. Duquette, 84 of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully Friday, January 13th, 2023, at Meadowbrook Healthcare. She was born in Plattsburgh on April 18, 1938, the daughter of George and Mary (LaMora) King.

Phyllis graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy Class of 1956. In July of that same year, she married Robert M. Duquette. The two of them started Duquette Brothers Construction in 1959 where Phyllis worked as the bookkeeper. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and attending church dinners but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her three girls and their families. If you knew her you knew how kindhearted and generous, she was, always helping everyone.

She is survived by her husband Robert of 66 years, her three daughters and their spouses, Deanna and Bruce Barbell of Morrisonville, Annette and Tyler Smith of Dannemora, Michelle and James Lucas of California; grandchildren Matthew (Lauren) Barbell, Alanna (Will) Thouin, Jacqueline (Keith) Litts, Jaden Lucas and Emily Lucas; as well as four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna Mousseau, Janet King and Wayne (Sheila) King and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by both of her parents, her brother Carl King and two sisters Audrey Tusa and Brenda Duquette.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 21, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be later in the year at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
