Morrisonville PV2. Anderson, Douglas T. 22, of Morrisonville, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 during his military tour in South Korea. He was born Feb. 8th, 1993, in Marquette, MI, the son of Christina (Langfield) and Andrew N. Anderson. Doug was a former student of Beekmantown and Peru Central Schools. He graduated from Marquette Alternative School located in Michigan in 2012. He joined the United States Army in Feb, 2014 and graduated basic training May, 2014. His unit in basic training was called the "Roughnecks". From there he went on to join the Army's 46th Transportation Unit #15382 called the "Roadrunners" located in Seoul, Korea. He was very proud of his accomplishments and was finally working on the vehicles he had always dreamed of doing. Doug was a hard worker, loved the outdoors, working on cars and motocross. Though he hated getting up in the morning, his heart was big and he was always ready with a big smile, a joke, a listening ear and a helping hand for anyone who needed it. He touched the lives of many and made his family proud. Leaving to mourn with cherished and loving memories his mother, Christina L. (Langfield) Anderson, father, Andrew N. Anderson, his brothers, Andrew M. Anderson, Paul K. Lawrence, his uncle, Michael P. Langfield, his aunt, Jessica (Lafave) Langfield, his cousin, Alexis Langfield, his grandfather, Christopher P. Langfield, and his grandmother, Sharon L. (Webb) Langfield. Also leaving to mourn, a large extended family in MI, New York and Canada. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services and military honors will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adrian Gallagher, pastor of St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks officiating. Cremation will follow with Doug's resting place to be determined. A reception will be held at the VFW Post 125 located on Boynton Ave. in Plattsburgh, NY following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clinton County Veterans Service Agency or the Wounded Warrior Project in Doug's name (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
