Ralph S Downs

Ralph S. Downs, 83 of Plattsburgh and formerly of West Chazy, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 29, 2021 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Mooers, NY on March 31, 1938 the son of Seward and Mary (Duprey) Downs.
Ralph retired from Imperial Wallcovering in Plattsburgh after 35 years.
He is survived by his daughter Cathy Emswiler and her husband Kevin of PA, his grandson Kevin Emswiler, Jr. and great grandson Riley Chase Emswiler, his siblings; Alice Gilberg of Rochester, NY, Violet Feazelle of Plattsburgh, Doris (Orville) Fredette of Plattsburgh and Hazel (James) Snavely of Sedalia, MO, several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents and two brothers-in-law Donald Feazelle, Sr. and Richard Gilberg.
Calling hours will be held on Friday September 3, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow at 10:30 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Mooers, NY.
Donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
