Ralph B. Patnode

Ralph Breen Patnode 86 of Plattsburgh passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday December 12th, 2023. He was born September 3rd 1937, the son of Frank and Gladys (Smart) Patnode. Ralph grew up on his family farm in Altona, NY with his parents and siblings Anita, Lawrence, Clarence, Leonard, Robert and JoAnn. He attended Altona school prior to serving in the Army. Ralph then married the love of his life Faith Ann Boyea in Altona, NY on January 3rd 1959. They were married for 55 years and in that time raised 4 children, Tammy, Pamela, Darlene and Brad. Ralph worked and retired from Northern Adirondack Central school in Ellenburg, NY. He enjoyed camping at Blue Haven Campground, spending time with his family, mowing the lawn and playing games. In addition to his parents and all of his siblings, he was predeceased by his wife Faith Ann (Boyea) Patnode. His memory will be cherished by his friends and the family members that loved and cared for him since the passing of his wife. A private Christian burial will be celebrated at a later date in the spring at the Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona, NY. Donations in Ralphs memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Animal Rescue and Welfare Services of Plattsburgh. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
