Randall H. Gadway, 72, of Fatima, Street, Morrisonville, NY, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2019 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY, where he had been a resident for the past several years. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 18, 1946 the son of Wilfred and Nedra (Bruno) Gadway.
Randy spent his child hood growing up in Schuyler Falls, NY. He joined the United States Army in 1968, he was stationed in Germany and was a proud member of the American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh. Randy married Carol Howard on March 15, 1969. He drove Dump Truck for Huntley Trucking and enjoyed racing and working on cars and hunting.
Randy was predeceased by his parents; a sister Joan Sorrell, a step grandson Daniel Soucia and a nephew Thomas Conway.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years Carol Gadway, his children; Kristie Haley and her husband Tal and Kelley Soucia and her husband David, his grandchildren; Kara Ashline and her fiancé Tyler Viniard, Bryce Ashline, Mandi Ellsworth and Logan Soucia, a great granddaughter Ainsley Viniard, his step grandchildren; Rachel Soucia Marshall and her husband Dylan, Lisa Soucia and Robert Haley, his siblings; Patricia Tellstone, William Gadway and his wife Lana, Brian Gadway and his partner Anthony Biasisni and Julie Kamal and her husband Joseph, his cousin and best friend Vernon “Weasel” Bruno and his sons Jason and Travis Bruno, several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Thursday April 18, 2019 at 9:00 am at Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
