Randy Hoistion

Randy Hoistion, 63, of Hickory Street, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his home with family by his side. he was born in Oceanside, Ca. on July 11, 1959.

Randy served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978-1992 and later was employed as a customs broker for UPS in Champlain. he enjoyed spending time with family, watching videos on how to fix things, watching baseball and football. he enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren all the important things you need in life like how to work on a vehicle, build things, and thaw a frozen pipe, he enjoyed taking car rides in the countryside, walking in the woods, camping, sitting on the deck and watching the sun come up or the stars in the night sky. He enjoyed the simple things like the laughter of the children when they played outside or the expression on their faces when they tried something new. he enjoyed life.

He is survived by his wife Brenda (Bushey) Hoistion, his children;Tracy Hoistion of Plattsburgh, Julie Hoistion of Watertown, Kiah Hoistion of Plattsburgh and James Bushey of Burlington, VT., his mother; Mary Hoistion of Calcium, NY, his brothers and sisters in law; Dennis and Juanita Hoistion of Palm Coast, FL., George and Mary Hughes-Hoistion of Watertown, David and Tanya Hoistion of Watertown, Tim Hoistion of Watertown, his sisters and brothers in law; Debra and Matt Conklin of Watertown, Joanie and Jeff Allen of Florida, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father, George Hoistion.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Military honors will follow at 3:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion on Rand Hill Road from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
