Randy J. Houle, 64, of Plattsburgh passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on November 27, 1957 the son of Maynard and Jean (Bright) Houle, Sr..
Randy had worked in maintenance for the Clinton County Advocacy and Resource Center. He was a sports fanatic and loved his Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and Boston Bruins as he never missed a game. He loved western shows and movies just as much with John Wayne being his favorite Cowboy of all time. Randy also enjoyed spending his free time in his workshop creating gifts and restoring items for anyone who asked out of the generosity in his heart. Whatever Randy did, he always joined by his best friend and family dog, Raven, who woke up with him each morning and welcomed him home each evening with plenty of hugs and kisses. Randy loved his nieces and nephews greatly as well, with Cathy Ann being his favorite, as he spent as much time with her as possible when she was home for visits. They shared many laughs and memories that Randy cherished.
Randy will always be remembered for being a good man in a storm. If you needed him, he was always there, no matter the request. His kind and giving hear5t will be greatly missed as well as his quick wit and larger than life personality.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful medical staff, and nurses, specifically at CVPH Medical on R-4 for their attentiveness and compassion for Randy as they cared for him until his final moments. The family would also like to thank Randy’s best friend, James Leonard for all of the love and support he showed Randy and his family when they needed it most.
Randy was predeceased by his parents, a brother Maynard Houle, Jr. his father-in-law Gerald Garrand and brothers-in-law Gary Garrand & Tim McCallister.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Garrand of Plattsburgh, his daughter Celine Houle of Plattsburgh, his sisters; Dorothy Downs McGee and her husband Paul of Plattsburgh, Deborah Miner of West Chazy, Cathy Fountain and her husband Todd of West Chazy, Linda Deyo of West Chazy, his brothers; Gary Houle of Houston, Texas, Michael Houle of Rouse Point, a step-son & daughter-in-law Dean and Shelby Jolly, mother-in-law Margaret Garrand. and several nieces and nephews.
At Randy’s request there will be no services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
