PLATTSBURGH – Ray LaBombard Jr. died peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
Ray, the son of Gladys (Siltz) and Raymond LaBombard, Sr., graduated from PHS (Plattsburgh High School) in 1952. Upon graduation, Ray was employed at Keystone Case Plumbing Supply in the Warehouse Service Department. From there, he went to E. J. Monroe Inc. retiring in 1997 as Vice President and General Manager, after 40 years of service.
Ray was married to the love of his life, Donna Parrott, on 4/24/54, at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh. Together they raised 3 sons. Ray was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Ray enjoyed time with family, bowling, golfing and just relaxing at camp in Point-au-Roche, NY. He was a life-time member of the Plattsburgh Elks 621. He served on the Advisory Board at BOCES Trade School for 3 years.
He was predeceased by his parents and one sister Mona Mayo of Scotia, NY.
Ray is survived by his wife Donna of 66 years, three sons – Steven LaBombard of Plattsburgh, NY; Scott LaBombard of Rochester, NY; and Todd (Joanne) LaBombard of Syracuse, NY, one brother – Gary (Linda) LaBombard of Piedmont, SC, five sisters – Rose (Ronald) McIver of Evans, GA; Jeanne Leagon of Plattsburgh, NY; Collen Tolbert of Georgia; Lila Germain of Plattsburgh; and Holly (Randy) Curtain of Inman, SC, six grand-children – Jill (Jason) Lewis of Wake Forest, NC; Kara (Ryan) VasNunes of Evergreen, CO; Meghan LaBombard of Charlotte, NC; Elise LaBombard of Syracuse, NY; Jack and Nick LaBombard of Plattsburgh, NY, and three great-grandchildren – Reed and Ginny-Rae VasNunes, and Wyatt Lewis. Also surviving is Deborah LaBombard of Pinehurst, NC.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life mass at St. Peter’s Church on Monday September 21, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.

Social distancing and face coverings must be observed.
