Raymond E "Ray" Dixon

Raymond E. "Ray" Dixon, 81, of Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the UVM CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Potsville, PA on August 10, 1936. Raymond was a member of St. Alexander's Church. He retired from the United States Air Force. He was an avid New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan. Ray spent as much time as he could playing golf. He was predeceased by his daughter Debbie LaDieu, his siblings;Elmer, Violet, Kenny, Irma, Ruth, Emma, and Elsie and his brother-in-law, Jacques MacKenzie. He is survived by his companion Claudette Raymond, his daughter; Donna Dixon-Vosh and her wife Allison of Plattsburgh, his step-children; Sharon Raymond and Joe Alix, Diane and Dean Ellis, grandchildren; Addison Dixon-Vosh and Braxton Raymond, his siblings; Jesse, Myrtle, Nancy, Betty Lou, Louise and Joanne, sister-in-law, Marie MacKenzie, son-in-law Frank LaDieu, several nieces and nephews and his canine-companion Molly. Calling hours will be Friday, December 22, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Alexander's Church. Internment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy at a later date.
