Raymond Leonard Favreau

Mr. Raymond Leonard Favreau, 93, of Flynn Avenue in Plattsburgh and formerly of Mooers, passed away Wednesday, April 02, 2014 at the Clinton County Nursing Home with family by his side. He was born in Mooers on July 13, 1920, the son of the late Elzeor and Arminia (Barcomb) Favreau. Raymond attended school in a one room school house on the North Star Road in Mooers where he supplied the wood for the stove and the water. He was a farmer for all of his life enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by a daughter and son in law; Noella and Dale Jones of Leesburg, Fl., two sons and a daughter in law; Alfred and Penny Favreau of Champlain, Marcel Favreau and his fiancée Sue Peary of Rouses Point, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His wife of 62 years, Albina (LaBombard) Favreau , and five sisters; Beatrice, Leona, Evelyn, Clerina and Rita passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's memory may be made to the Clinton County Nursing Home Activities Fund.
