Raymond J La Monda Jr

Plattsburgh Raymond J. La Monda, Jr., 60 of Lyons, Road, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Friday July 3, 2009. He was born on June 9, 1949, the son of Raymond and Florence (Berthiaume) La Monda, Sr. He was predeceased by his father, a niece Fantasia Wells, and two nephews; James and Kegan Wells. Ray was disabled after serving in the United States Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed football and was known for his artistic abilities. He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles and especially the motorcycle he built. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1466 in Beekmantown. He is survived by three sons; Colby La Monda of Plattsburgh, NY, David La Monda of VA, step son Christopher Parent and his wife Toni of Peru, NY and a daughter Kimberly La Monda of VA. His companion Christian Cayea and her son Matthew of Malone, NY. His mother Florence La Monda of Plattsburgh, NY., two sisters Florence Wells and Her husband Harold of West Chazy, NY and Angel Boivin of West Chazy, NY. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
