Raymond P. ”Ray” LaClair, 85, of Bushey Blvd. passed away Friday April 5, 2019 at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Vermontville on June 6, 1933 the son of Raymond and Jeannette (Frenyea) LaClair. Ray was a veteran of Korea serving in the U. S. Army. He retired as an electrician from the Plattsburgh City School District. He enjoyed fishing, camping, Valcour Island and boating. Ray was a life member of the American Legion Post 20, the Knights of Columbus Council 13127 and Our Lady of Victory Church. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother George and sisters; Roseanne and Patricia.
Ray is survived by his wife of sixty five years Leita (LaPlante) LaClair, his children; Jeffrey (Carol) LaClair, Raymond (Lynn) LaClair, Brenda LeClair, Cathy LaClair, two sisters; Bessie (Paul) Senecal, Josie Garrant, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s memory may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church.
