Rebecca M "Becky" Blake

Plattsburgh "Becky" Rebecca M. Blake, 36, of Birch Street, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side after suffering from many chronic medical conditions since 1980. She was born in Troy, New York on May 21, 1973 the daughter of Wayne G. and Barbara J. (Smith) Blake, Sr. Becky graduated from Plattsburgh High School and CV-TEC in 1994 and then worked at the ARC. She enjoyed spending time with her family, drawing, coloring and she loved Mickey Mouse. Becky will be remembered as a very caring and gentle person. She was predeceased by her father Wayne G. "One Armed Bandit" Blake, Sr., her paternal grandparents Lawrence W. and Alfreda Blake and her maternal grandparents Lee E. and Barbara A. Smith. Becky is survived by her mother Barbara J. Blake of Plattsburgh, a sister Barbara A. "Sissy" Blake of Plattsburgh, a brother Wayne G. "Punker" Blake, Jr. and his wife Pauline of Plattsburgh, a stepsister Krista Whitney of West Chazy, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. William G. Reamer, Chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to her family.
