Reginald John Breyette "Reg", 75, of Rand Hill Road, Morrisonville, NY, passed away on Wednesday March 24, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 9, 1945 the son of Oril J. and Doris (Egan) Breyette.
Reg graduated from OLVA, Class of 1962. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Air Force as a member of the 52nd Civil Engineering Squad. Upon his return from duty, he married Linda Wood in 1969 with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage last June. Reg is a life member of the American Legion where he had also served as Commander for Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh for several years, and is also a life member of the NRA. He worked at the Clinton County Correctional Facility for 25 years before retiring in 2005.
He enjoyed traveling and camping, history, reading and taking long walks and spending time with his beloved dog, Gidget. Reg was an excellent craftsman and took great pride in his workmanship, and was very helpful to neighbors, family and friends throughout his life. He was very generous in supporting various organizations and known to be always willing to lend a hand to anyone.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard. Reg is survived by his loving wife, Linda of Morrisonville, his daughter Angela and her husband Philip Jorczak of Albany, his son Shane and his wife Sabrina of Houston, his grandchildren Shelbi and her husband Lee Welch, Baylee and her husband Kolton Waggoner, Kylee and Coleton. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Amelia, Maddison, and Mayson, his brothers Gary and Gene and their families, his Sisters-in-Law Janice Wood and Nancy Breyette, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville, NY. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
