Richard J Buskey

Richard J. Buskey, 87, formerly of Salmon River Road, Plattsburgh, NY and Apple Valley, Peru, NY, passed away on Tuesday April 30, 2019 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on January 28, 1932, the son of Arthur and Rose (Newell) Buskey.
Richard was a dairy farmer for many years and later worked at Northern Orchards in Peru, NY. He enjoyed fishing, camping, outdoor games, poker, cards, going to the casino and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Richard was predeceased by his wife Marcella, they were happily married for over 45 years before she passed in 2001, and a son Robert Buskey in 2014.
He is survived by four children; Debbie Dubuque and her husband Peter of Plattsburgh, Rickey Buskey and his wife Connie of Plattsburgh, Kevin Buskey and his wife Karen of VA and Melissa Puchalski and her husband Daniel of Cumberland Head, ten grandchildren; Casey Rabideau, Jonathon Buskey, Michael Buskey, Darcy Flesner, Cody Buskey, Kyle Buskey, Kory Buskey, Daniel James Puchalski, Jonathon Puchalski and Alexander Puchalski, several great grandchildren also survive him
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 6, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
