Richard Calma

Richard A. “Rich” Calma, 69, West Chazy, passed away, Friday September 23, 2022 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Port Washington, NY on March 29, 1953 the son of Calogero and Adella (Draper) Calma.

Rich retired from the Clinton County Advocacy and Resource Center. He was active with the Civil Air Patrol for many years. Rich volunteered at the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum. He enjoyed collecting military memorabilia and he loved his dogs and cats.

Rich was predeceased by his parents and brother, Dennis.

He is survived by his domestic partner of thirty six years Deborah L. Loftus Johnson, a sister Lisa (Michael) Meinardus, his brothers Michael (Angela) Calma, Carl “Chris” (Ellen) Calma and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum or the Elmore SPCA.
