With his family by his side, Richard J. DuBrey, 88 years young, reunited with his daughter and our Heavenly Father. He was born to Foster and Dorthy (Gebo) DuBrey of Plattsburgh, N.Y.. Richard served in the Army during the Korean War. He had a passion for fishing and caught his greatest catch 66 years ago, his wife Anita (Facteau) DuBrey. While raising seven beautiful children with Anita, Richard worked 43 years for Georgia Pacific and, simultaneously, 22 years for Fortin & Sons. After retirement he drove for the U.S. Mail, the Clinton County Cart Bus, and was a volunteer driver for veterans. Always sporting a plaid shirt, suspenders, and pens in his pocket, Richard loved a good deal and always had to buy two of everything. His homemade ice cream and donuts were always desired by many. He was an avid Yankees fan, loved his pets, traveling, and spending time making memories with his family. Richard is predeceased by his parents and daughter, Lisa Boomgarden. He is survived by his wife, his children Mary Helen Buntin (Allen) of Brighton, M.I., Stephen DuBrey of Lakeland, F.L., Denise Woodward (Todd) of St. Albans, V.T., Mark DuBrey (companion Karin) of Chazy, N.Y., Susan Bouchard (Bryant) of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Timmy DuBrey (Barbra) of Plattsburgh, N.Y., his brothers James DuBrey SR., Jerry DuBrey, and sister Jeanette Arata, his 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and his loving surrounding neighbors: Ron Brault, Leo and Harriet Drolette, and Craig Maciejewski. Many thanks to all the caring nurses and staff at CVPH, especially Dr. Bunn, Dr. Duus and staff, Dr. Cao, and HCR nursing staff.
