Richard A Duprey

Richard A. Duprey, 61, of Ashley Road, West Chazy, passed away on Sunday December 15, 2019 at his home under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on November 14, 1958 the son of Harold and Elizabeth (Bouvia) Duprey. Richard attended Beekmantown Central School and at the age of 16 enlisted in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1978 he returned to West Chazy. He married Gloria Collins on August 25, 1984. Richard worked for Gary Montpelier and later went on to Hildt Aviation at Albany, NY.
He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, riding his motorcycle.
Richard was predeceased by his father and his son Richard Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Gloria Duprey of West Chazy, his children; Keith (Nicole) Duprey of Syracuse, Robert (Casey) Brennan of Arizona, Kimberly Forster and her fiancé Jeremy of West Chazy and a grandson Wyatt, his mother Elizabeth of West Chazy, his siblings; Ernest (Marilyn) Duprey, Pam Beshon, Debbie (Kenneth) Yelle, Randy (Mel) Provost, Kelley (Ben) Abrams, several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel, with full military honors.
Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
