Richard H. Seymour

Richard Seymour, 83, of Plattsburgh and Arizona died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at UVM-CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh to Alphonse and Rena (Lamarre) Seymour. After high school, Richard served in the U.S. Marines from August 1958 until August 1962. Shortly after discharge from the Marines, he went to work at the Plattsburgh Municipal Lighting Department. He was employed there for 32 years until his retirement. In 1990, he married Mary Ellen Ducharme Lambert and enjoyed 34 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, step children Lori (Robert) Lambert-Osburn, Gary (Sonya) Lambert and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Nathaniel Lambert. Richard also leaves his siblings Shirley (Joe) Kilkeary, Gerald (Judy) Seymour and Alan (Jeannette) Seymour, nephews, nieces and cousins. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CVPH foundation HERE (75 Beekman St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901) in his memory for the amazing care he received at the hospital for the final two weeks of his life. Calling hours will be Saturday, July 20 from 12 pm to 2 pm with a memorial service immediately following at Brown Funeral Home.
