Beekmantown Mr. Richard G. Spoor, 71, of Spoor Drive, West Chazy passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Churubusco, New York on November 29, 1937 the son of Gilbert and Evelyn (Ash) Spoor. Richard worked at Beekmantown Central School and retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed mowing hay, working on the family dairy farm, scratch off Lotto Tickets and traveling to the casino at Hogansburg. Richard was predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Evelyn Spoor, a sister Norma Favreau and a grandson Corey Spoor. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Carol (Porter) Spoor of Beekmantown, three sons; Allen Spoor of West Chazy, Steve Spoor of Phoenix, Arizona, Randy Spoor and his wife Tammy of West Chazy, two daughters Chris LaForest and her husband Hap of West Chazy, Brandi Warren and her fiancé Gary Bourgeois of West Chazy, his grandchildren; Lee Spoor, Jessica Spoor and her fiancé Jayson Criss, Trent LaForest, Zakery Warren, two great grandchildren; Schyler Spoor and Gavin Spoor, his siblings; Fayola Smith of Plattsburgh, June Taylor of Jay, Betty Blake and her husband Roger of West Chazy, Lenora Perkins and her husband Chester of Indiana, Wilma Guillily and her husband Tony of West Chazy, Curtis Spoor of West Chazy, Wendell Spoor and his wife Betty of Plattsburgh, Darrell Spoor and his wife Fanny of Mooers, a brother-in-law Joseph Favreau of West Chazy, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. Friends wishing may make donations to the Intensive Care Unit at CVPH Medical Center.
