Ricky L Leclair

Ricky L. LeClair, 64, of Plattsburgh, passed away comfortably at home in the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country on July 17, 2019.
Ricky was employed at Imperial Mill for 25 years and was also President of the Union. After the closing of the mill, he worked for other companies as a production lead, welder, maintenance lead, and most recently retiring from Nova Bus, due to health reasons. Ricky was a certified electrician and welder and could just about fix or build anything.
Ricky was a member of the #4 Leon Gonyo racing team for over 30 years and looked forward to his late nights in the garage and his long memorable trips to the race track each weekend. He enjoyed NY Yankees baseball, car rides, trips to the ocean and so much more.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 45 years and love of his life, Patricia LeClair (Lafountain), a son, Matthew LeClair and wife Tara of Plattsburgh, a son, Christopher LeClair of Plattsburgh, grandchildren Haydin Fountain and wife Danielle, Logan LeClair, Landon LeClair, and was anticipating the arrival of his first granddaughter Kensley LeClair, and first great grandson, Theodore Fountain.
Ricky is also survived by three sisters in law; Angela Crandall, Nancy and Gary Brandmeier, Lori Gonyo, two brothers; John and Harold LeClaire of Plattsburgh, several half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, special friends and the #4 pit crew.
Ricky was predeceased by his foster mother, Blanche Walker, in-laws Francis and Christina Lafountain and brother in law, Francis B. Lafountain.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be offered to Hospice of the North Country or the ALS Association.
