Rita M Labarre

Rita Mary LaBarre, 93, of LaBarre Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with her family by her side. She was born in Churubusco on March 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Albert and Aldea (Perras) Lagree.
Rita was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Mahoney for many years and later was true mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. In her free time she often could be found gardening, sewing, and cooking. Rita enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.
Rita is survived by her children; James LaBarre and his wife Kathleen of Alexandria, Virginia, Jean Beaudet of Clifton Park, JoAnn Civello and her husband, Peter of Cicero, New York, MaryAnn Abrahamson and her husband, Steve of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her grandchildren, Michael LaBarre, Ansley LaBarre, Joseph Civello, Paul Civello, Peter Civello and Carson Abrahamson, and her step-brother, Francis Parent.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Frank H. LaBarre, her son Jeffrey LaBarre, her grandson, Joseph LaBarre, her siblings; John Paul, Leo, Raymond, and Leon Lagree.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 4:00-7:00pm at Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00am at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
