Robert Otis "Bob" Austin

Plattsburgh Mr. Robert "Bob" O. Austin, 75, of Sailly Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Friday October 1, 2010 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Schuyler Falls, NY on December 15, 1934 the son of Stanley and Jesse (Jabot) Austin. Bob graduated from Peru Central School, he then enlisted in the Unites State Army, where he served his country from 1957 to 1963. He later returned to Plattsburgh where he worked at Grandway and then Kmart, until he retired in 1996. Bob enjoyed listening to music, especially country and gospel. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers; Milton Austin, James Austin and Donald Austin and his companion Helen Wood. Bob is survived by two sisters; Eunice LeClair of Plattsburgh and Margie Maulding of Schuyler Falls. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive him. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday October 3, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel, entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Plattsburgh.
