Robert C Blodgett

Robert C. Blodgett, 83, of Plattsburgh, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with family by his side. He was born in Enosburg, Vermont on March 22, 1938, the son of the late Orville and Mae (Ariel) Blodgett.

Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He then was employed as a truck driver and later proudly owned and operated the Kwik Mart Convenience Store in Plattsburgh for many years. He enjoyed watching the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox play, working on his lawn, snuggling with his cats and playing cribbage with his family. One if his favorite stories to tell was how he met Elvis in Germany while he was in the Army.

He is survived by his children and their spouses; Gina Holmes and spouse Todd Trombley, Keri Hobbs, Paul Blodgett and his wife Kelly, Danielle Patnode and her husband, Justin, Emily Blodgett and her spouse Tyler Blaise, Kaytlin Blodgett, Nick Lashway, Chelsey Leclair and her spouse Chris Thibault, Brent Leclair and his spouse Brandy, Jordan Agnew and her spouse Shawn, Ryan Holmes, Brandon Decker and Taylor ,and his great grandchildren; Olivia, Matthew, Cadence, Harper and Izabella.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline Blodgett and great granddaughter Hannah Mae Agnew on October 30, 2018.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the home of his daughter Danielle Patnode. Memorial donations may be offered to the Elmore SPCA in Peru. The family wishes to thank Hospice nurses Alisha, Holly, Katie and Heather, and Chad Laundry, Marcia Phillips, and Cheyenne Hoffer at Plattsburgh Rehab for the excellent care given to Robert.
