Robert L Bousquet

Mr. Robert Leon Bousquet, 80, of 240 Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, passed away Friday evening May 27, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh on March 5, 1931, the son of Herbert and Denise (Rouleau) Bousquet. Robert received his education from the Brothers of MAI. He joined the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served in the 2nd Infantry Division, 64th Tank Battalion. Returning home from war Robert married Frances Eleanor (Laundry), sixty years ago. He worked many years in construction, was superintendent of Plattsburgh's first Pyramid Mall, and eventually retired from Monahn Medical. He was a member of the Peru VFW, where he served as the commander. Robert is predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Roswell and William; one sister, Kathleen Bruce and four brother-in-laws, Clarence Bruce, James Fountain, David Watts and Herbert Wiles. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert L. II and Rick L. Bousquet; two daughters, Lorri (Bousquet) Dyson and Mrs. Russell (Sue Ellen Bousquet) Guay; two sisters, Rita Fountain and Gloria Watts; four sister-in-laws, Sylvia Buskey, Shirley Buskey, Connie Laundry, and Betty Wiles; brother-in-law, Robert Laundry; nine grandchildren, Robert L. Bousquet III from Grove City, OH, Christopher Bousquet from Astori, NY, Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey & Barbara Bousquet from Grove City, OH, Danielle Smith from Marysville, OH, Alexander and Nicholas Bousquet from Charleston, SC, Mr. & Mrs. Blake & Kristina Dyson from Kaneohe Bay, HI, Raegen and Mallory Guay from Plattsburgh, NY, five great-grandchildren also survive him. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 30, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. In Lieu of Flowers friends wishing may make donations to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh.
