Plattsburgh Mr. Robert H. " Bob" Carr, 86, of Palmer Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 29, 1926 the son of Charles J. and Edith I. (Gibeau) Carr. Bob was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Navy from 1944-1946. He married Dorothy Ryan on June 16, 1951 at Our Lady of Victory Church. They made their home in Plattsburgh where they raised four children. Bob retired from Clinton Correctional Facility in 1985 after thirty one years of service. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and any form of outdoor activity, including riding his bicycle. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Bob was a member of St. John's Church. He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Robert Carr in 2003, a grandson Michael Carr in 2012 and a brother and sister-in-law Charles and Margaret Carr. Bob is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Dorothy L. (Ryan) Carr of Plattsburgh and their children; Jo Ann Brown of Monroe, Washington, Gary Carr of West Chazy, Patty Ehrsam and her husband Tony of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, daughter in law Alice Carr, five grandchildren; Sarah Malasaga and her husband Emmanuel, Kelly Fogo and her husband Kevin, Christopher Carr, Kyle Brown and Casey Brown, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews Calling hours will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to St. John's Church or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
