Robert L "Chag" Chagnon

Robert L. (Chag) Chagnon died unexpectedly in Greenville, SC on May 4, 2019. He was born on July 20, 1947. He married Kathy J. Newell at St. Peter's Church on October 14, 1972.
He graduated from Peru High School in 1967. He served in the US Navy from 1967-1973. He then worked as a roofer and at Imperial Paper Mill.
His hobbies included NASCAR, camping, golfing, darts, and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy J. (Newell) Chagnon, mother-in-law, Jane Newell, sisters-in-law, Mary (Carl) LeClair, Carol (Ron Fuller) VanHise, Linda Rood, brothers-in-law Dan (Cheryl) Newell, Ron (Pam) Newell, Bob (Karen) Newell, many nieces, and nephews, and special friends, Lynn and Gary Rock.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Robert Newell, his sister-in-law's husband, James Rood, and a nephew, Herbie Rock.
There will be no calling hours. A service will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 1:30 pm, burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
