Robert P Flick Sr

Cadyville Robert P. Flick, Sr., 64, of Hank Wilson Road, Cadyville, NY, passed away on Monday January 30, 2017 at his home with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 12, 1952 the son of Paul and Norma (Harding) Flick. Bob graduated Saranac Central School in 1970 and soon after enlisted in the United States Army. After begin honorably discharged from the Army he returned to the North Country and began working for Morrisonville Construction. Bob then began his career as a Corrections Officer for The New York State Department of Corrections in 1974. He married Linda Cormier on August 9, 1997 at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Bob retired in 1998 from Clinton Correctional facility after over 24 years of service. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6067 and was a Eucharistic Minister and taught religious education at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Bob was a former member of the Morrisonville Fire Department and assisted in the formation of Morrisonville EMS. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, camping, riding his motorcycle and traveling to AMERICADE in Lake George, NY. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his in-laws; John and Elizabeth Cormier. He is survived by his wife Linda Flick, his children; Amy Hewson and her husband Brad of Plattsburgh, Christiana Redlin and husband Curt of NC, Robert "Bob" Flick, Jr. and his wife Courtney and Jessica Herring of Champlain, eight grandchildren; Riley and Bailey Hewson, Ariana and Cooper Redlin, Dylan Welch-Flick and Bryce Flick and Jakob and Isabella Herring, his siblings; Sandy Brown and her Husband Gary, Pat Smith and her companion Bob Head, Mark Flick and his wife Jodi of Chateaugay, Gary Flick and his wife Nancy of MA, Joann Flick and her husband Sam Thorton of MT, Paul Flick and his wife Connie of Peru, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Larry and Patti Cormier of Morrisonville, Betty and Steve Spinner of Dannemora, Hank and Heidi Cormier, Brian and Barbara Trombley and Sandy Cormier of Dannemora, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Friday February 3, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Burial will be later in the year in the parish cemetery.
