Robert C "Bobby" Guynup

Robert C. "Bobby" Guynup, 65, of the Hardscrabble Rd., Cadyville, NY passed away on Monday November 24, 2014 at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on November 19, 1949 the son of Carl and Agnes (DuBrey) Guynup. Robert was in the Army 82nd Airborne Division and the 101st Screaming Eagles, receiving several medals during his extended tour in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked as a deep-sea welder. Later in life, his hobbies included astronomy, reading, traveling, but his true passion was for wood crafting. Bobby is predeceased by his parents, Carl and Agnes (DuBrey) Guynup, his paternal grandparents, James and Della (Manor) Guynup, and his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Bessie (Brooks) DuBrey. Bobby is survived by his siblings, Susan Fifield and her husband Richard, William, Daniel and his wife Peggy, Andrew and his wife Judy, Ellen Guynup Stoffels, Russell and his wife Laura, Miles and his wife April, also his 7 nieces, 7 nephews, 7 grandnieces and 7 grandnephews, his longtime friends Carol Marion and Jack Matoon, and many cousins. Calling hours will be Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row, Cadyville, New York.
