Robert Walter Newell

Robert Walter Newell, 77, of Morrisonville, New York passed away at his home July 20. He was born on July 3, 1941 in Plattsburgh, NY the son of Donald and Catherine Newell both deceased. He is survived by his two sisters and brother in laws. Suzanne and John Kelly of Lempster, New Hampshire and Nancy and Robert Bessette of San Juan Capistrano, California. Two nieces Kristin and Tracy Bessette both living in California. He will be missed by many friends most especially George and Becky Gates and Carol Bova of Plattsburgh, NY. His heartbeat was praying for people and the distribution of Gods word. He volunteered for 30 years at Clinton Prison as part of the Kairos Counsel ministry and served as Secretary of the Counsel. He was a member of the Assembly of Gods Church in Plattsburgh Since 1974. He also served as secretary for the Gideon's. Bobs pastimes were playing and watching golf and buying and selling cars as well as attention to his fitness and health. Bob attended Saranac Central school and received his Bachelors' Degree from SUNY at Plattsburgh. He did service in The US Army stationed in Texas. The family will receive friends at the Assembly of God Church on Prospect Ave, Plattsburgh on Sunday July 29 at 3 pm with Services honoring his life at 4 pm. We invite everyone to join us for dinner of Bobs favorite foods immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Assembly of God church.
